Thank you very much, streaming from Apple is unwatchable. Sorry, but I don't keep copies of these things (although maybe I should, I love to watch them).

I know people are having problems accessing the stream, so I took some pics of the keynote, specifically the mini introduction. Hopefully this will tide you over for a few mins.

Thank you so much for the link. The stream kept cutting out and for some reason about halfway through lost audio. Can't wait to watch the rest of this

If anyone managed to download the entire thing and has a really fat connection, I would really appreciate a link to download it (other than the akamai one). I have about 30 people waiting to see how it ends .

Apparently someone at Apple screwed up bad with the keynote stream and it's being redone.

We could also torrent it on our favorite mac torrents website

Edit: Already done and it has like 180 seeders. PM me if you're curious for more info.

This is pretty bad quality for a 300k stream.

I hope there is a better quality one out there.

*Floored*

Highlights:

iWork: The Keynote user's Word. Now I can make nice, auto-adjusted documents without worrying about the 5 minute beachballs Word produces.

Tiger Demo: We've seen it already, but it looks a little more polished. They've sold me on Dashboard. The effects are great and the new widgets are fantastic. A dictionary and a thesaurus? Hot damn, I need one of thoseerI need them.

Of course, there were a couple goofs here and there, but Tiger's looking like an OS with a much more polished look. It seems to be a very graphics/GUI oriented update. Thank God.

Anyone notice the very Lanham-esque style that they use for iWork and iLife? I think it looks nice, but it just reminded me of that.

yeah, i was watching the tiger demo that some guy was showing. the funny thing is, the presenter must have surfed macnn before. he was trying to show off the RSS in safari, and he lost internet connection. he wasnt sure if it was down, or if it was just the website (he was trying to log onto nytimes.com to show it's rss capabilities). Since nytimes.com wasnt loading, he tried to log onto MacNN.com! (because the network was down, for a few minutes, MacNN didnt load either but I didnt expect him to try to connect to MacNN! I was shocked. Too bad I didnt get a picture =P

Now I'm at the apple store downloading the stevenote

That's strange. The link worked while I was still in my office an hour ago. It stopped at about 61%, so I cancelled it. I went back home and the link refused to work. Same ISP!

Like Safari said, can someone please mirror it?

Hah! Apple's having fun with us - the link now redirects to this location:

http://unit.bjork.com/specials/album...lla/index.html

...At least, it did for me when I used wget to try to get the file. Thankfully I had already downloaded it, and was just checking to see if a higher-quality one had replaced the somewhat badly encoded original.

yeah, it redirects me too. Thankfully I grabbed it shortly after it was posted, so I already have it.

the only thing i was not crazy about is the new icon in the dock for dashboard. my dock has 7 icons in it (only because they are open (and trash)), including finder and trash, and it is always hidden. i hardly use it. launchbar + expose is more than i need.

i *really* hope that there is a screen corner option to bring on dashboard. there is a spare screen corner after you use three of them for expose.

by the way, i'm sold on dashboard now. i open sherlock all the time just to use the dictionary/thesaurus. i open calculator just to do a conversion. i can't wait for tiger.

I'd be willing to host a copy of the keynote on my web space, but I don't have the keynote .

If someone wants to send it over, I'd be happy to host.

Wait... Can I get in trouble for doing that??
