I got to meet him in '79, when he played at the Bayou in DC. He and Buddy Guy were the best.

Very sad! He was the man responsible for bringing the blues to mainstream America during the 50s and 60s! A huge loss!

and a damned nice old bird, to boot! I went to see him at the historic Bijou theater ~a decade ago and shook his hand, what a cool dude he was.
