The guy with the flare doesn’t flinch either. There’s a shot from a different angle floating around.

It is indeed gasoline. It is alleged there were multiple people who doused it, each not knowing the others had doused it.

Sure.

Cooler than my joke, but that’s a low bar.

There was an arm injury though, and of course Bette is the best.

I love Tom and the breadth of his talent. Like for example, he’s really good with a yo-yo.

Somewhere along the line I heard he’s kinda bitter now, which if true makes me sad.

I’m sure that the poor lady was only told 500 times to only point that gun at the target or down. Maybe she was having a bad day…. I’m surprised the range guy took a “gentle” approach with her.

“See that hole in the ceiling over there? YOU did that.” Without knocking her down for how horribly unsafe she was or anything…

What really confuses me is her seeming total lack of awareness the gun had fired. You’d think it would have startled her a bit.

Not to mention it looked like she was about to do it again until range guy stepped in.

They might blame the traffic controller and/or the pilot. Probably won't end a career though - the fighter is clearly fixable.

I am a bit curious about the missile. Most have a warhead or radar in the nose. This one ... had a tiny parachute?

Depends if it bent the airframe. Thats the expensive bit from what I gather. Fun fact: in the UK if you get caught doing a loop-the-loop in a helicopter, that help will be written off by the aviation authority. And your license might be revoked.

The missile (I’m not sure which model it is) is not a “live” device. The tail end is clearly sealed, and not with a plug that the rocket motor would blow off. It’s definitely not an AIM-9, which has a distinctive set of forward fins for steering. Further, it doesn’t look like it has a separate seeker section, nor a separate warhead section - there would be visible join lines where they are assembled onto the missile body.

That parachute thing makes me think that instead of missiles, those might be dropsondes. These are sensors that are dropped from altitude and either collect data while floating down on a parachute, or land softly in the water and collect data from the water. Either way, they are clearly not live ordnance.

The rail on the F-16’s right wing will probably need some work, but otherwise the aircraft looks in good shape.

And this appears to be a case of “failure to communicate” a lot of important things. Like where a very light, very aerodynamic aircraft should avoid while taxiing.

The first one, she kicks. The second one, it really looks like the player is just completely inept at kicking the ball, fumbles, slips, and falls on her own.

Actually, they all look completely inept.

Yeah, she commits a foul while she's on the ground but she went down tripping over the ball and then several others do the same. Weird.

Thank you both!

It comes off to me like she’s charging the second girl instead of trying to make a steal.

It’s hard to tell how much contact she actually made, but had the other girl not fallen over I get the impression she would have been body-slammed.

Is there something wrong with the floor? Several of them trip at several different points right near the middle. Unexpectedly sticky floor or something?

They make spray with like a 15-20 foot range. Stand upwind and use that! Why would you put yourself 6 inches from the nest and stand downwind of the presumably poisonous spray?

Those sprays ARE toxic. They are typically a neurotoxin, and humans can be injured by them when badly exposed.

I have the most trouble when we put Frontline (a flea and tick killer) on our cats. I guess I’m more sensitive to the stuff than my wife, but I get the typical “first sign” symptoms of exposure: tingling of lips and tongue, headache, and fatigue. It takes a couple of hours to pass, which is a pain.

RAID and other flying insect sprays depend on cypermethrin, permethrin, and other neurotoxins. All of them are somewhat toxic to humans, with cypermethrin being quite toxic. So you REALLY want to be WELL upwind of this stuff.

I didn't see them hit a button. They must have locked the door when he came in. If he'd paid, they would have unlocked it just as quietly.

That said, what are they selling anyway? iPod competitors or Game Boys maybe? The form factors aren't ringing a bell for me.
