Mail, I'm stumped, how do I set the default account?

In outlook is was so obvious- accounts, set as default. I've looked around, cannot figure this out for mail. Mail is defaulting to send out mail with an account I rarely use. thanks!

In Mail. Preferences > Composing then at the item "Send new messages from:" choose the desired option including "Account of selected mailbox" or any of the other mailboxes of the accounts you have set up.

Thanks Hab, well, I remember that now, and actually like the "respond with the selected mailbox" choice.

If you reply to an email, then it uses the email account that that person sent to.

But what if you make a brand new email, you are not replying? How do you control the default of that?
