It's not a matter of right or wrong. It's an opinion. If the guy thinks it feels fast and "snappy" then it's fast and snappy. You may not but then that's your opinion.

Like those get-rich-quick TV ads say: past performance is not indicative of future results. Speed could really be better, it could really not be. You don't know, I don't know, they don't know, no one knows until Jaguar comes out. So there are no facts here, just guesses, opinions, speculation, placebos, hypotheses, conjecture, and a dash of faith. In the mean time, relax and enjoy the ride or not.

10.2 is snappy and everyone knew it too, even you.

BTW, there's nothing wrong with being exciting for the snappiness of 10.2, right? Don't be too black-hearted or I'll begin to think that it's a canada thingy

...and btw, ftp access via finder works in 6C75. A feature I've really been waiting for, ftp servers just mount on desktop as if they were on LAN. If apple manages to get this work porberly, there will be hard times for RBrowser, Fetch, Captain FTP, Interarchy and so on.

Ftp in finder works fine speed-wise, in fact it works better than iDisk. But you have to be careful not to check the new 'Show icon preview' in View Options pane - this will hang finder until preview icons are generated for every little gif, jpeg even in sub folders. So there needs to be a checkbox for disableing this feature for network volumes.

Nice... While connecting to an ftp server, or waiting for the directory listing of a large directory, does the Finder hang?

Also:

Does the get info window update the item size live? For instance start a download, and do a get info on the file being downloaded, is the size static or does it update live?
Also, do items that are being downloaded appear instantly on the desktop or is there still a lag? Do IE download icons change to show the file progress or do they stay the same?

Sorry to repeat my questions, but I'd like to know about that

Can you post a shot of the new target style cursor which appears when dragging?

Does it only appear when taking cmd-shift-4 screenshots?

Can anyone who's tried Jag on a PowerBook confirm whether there's an overscan option available when you connect a TV?

Is it true they disabled the ability to drag minimized windows from the dock to the desktop? I thought that was the coolest new feature in jag, and I just heard that it was taken away in 6C75 ;_;

One other cool thing that I don't think has been mentioned is that it tells you the % of time left when it's 'optimizing system performance' after installing something

DasDa,

- does clicking the "More Info" button in "About the Mac" open up Apple System Profiler?
- have any improvements been made to Copy and Replace operations in the Finder (Replace All, etc.)?
- is the setting for for window cycling under Full Keyboard Access in System Preferences usable yet?

Curious minds need to know...
