I have a number of cour profile in Sysprefs/Displays/Colour that used to work fine (some created by me).
Now, regardless of which one I apply, although the profile is selected, the actual colour of my screen no longer changes, and if I I try to create a new profile even though the coloursync calibration app lets me go through the various stages to do this, none of the changes has any kind of visual effect on screen. I've checked and repaired permissions, and this has had no effect, I even get this problem logged in as root!
P.S There are the odd system prefs that don't stick after being applied, which led me to think this issue was permission based.
