What do you use or recommend for time tracking and billing software -- that is affordable?

work uses LOGIC, which I can't recommend at all. The name is an oxymoron.

Do you have any friends that will come by and post suggestions for us?

You may have to build an excel spreadsheet kind of thing. In the desktop arena we use Remedy and SM9...Remedy is better but the cost is high. The graphic arts folks here use JobTraq. Its web based and works off a Windows Server.

I use a plain old notebook and a pen. Simple, cheap, effective.

I do transfer my written notes to TextEdit for better keeping, I suppose you could go the extra step and use Excel to auto calculate columns for time and billing.
