Well, we know SuperChicken likes to wear a tie as a belt.

But someone else is going to have to search for the link. I'm feeling lazy today.

Not dissing your bouncer skillz, I just didn't think The Nines drew the kind of crowd that would need someone like that. But yeah, you still gotta check id's.
God I miss their pizza!

Yup. I lived in the park almost across the street from the Falls. Send me all the pic's you got to [email protected]. Thanks!

Well if the complement came from a message board with primarily PeeCee users then she might be upset. But coming from MacNN...That user base has class by default.

I believe I was halfway to crunkness. Notice the strained "oh, Christ, they're f*cking taking pictures, now?" smile. Photoshopping encouraged.

MacNN is not about cool, looks or popularity (although Zimth & MOS would make it seem otherwise). All here at this site have a core (pun intended) understanding, that's what MacNN is all about, apple (and whatever it means from there).

Besides, cool is in the eye of the beholder (although it does help to have a sense of fashion). In my book, as long as people are not idiots, than they are cool.

Having said all that crap, be cool my brotha! 4 U R

Just browsing this thread and surprised that no one noticed this similarity. If you're wondering who the guy on the bottom is, it's the gyro copter pilot from The Road Warrior aka Mad Max 2.

Well thanks for that vote of encouragement.

But I still say that on the "cool meter" I'm down in the green range, while Zimth & MOS are pegged in the red!

Here is one from earlier in the month. I took a flight in a vintage Tiger Moth biplane. Fun stuff. The shot is taken by me, holding my camera in front of the cockpit window during a loop-de-loop.

FYI, the link goes to a close-up. The thumbnail was just after landing. Figured it fit in with the recent motif of pilot-related pix.

It was a blast. Better than any roller coaster. All together it was about a 30-minute ride. It was during a quick holiday to Gold Coast, Australia.
Great views and the acrobatics were awesome! My g/f rode in a second plane but just did the scenic flight.

Anyway, the plane did a loop, then a couple of double loops, then some wing rolls and finally a massive climb followed by a dive ... and then the pilot shut the propeller down and we started to do barrel rolls, tumbling around and down at the same time before starting it back up and swooping into another climn before a gentle circling down and landing.

I've done hot air balloons, helicopters and parasailing but the biplane might have had them all beat. Best of all, it only cost us US$10 for both to fly as I was lucky the night before at the blackjack tables.

$10 was a darn good deal for that ride... I've got some 20 hours in the Pitts doing aerobatic training, but all of it was dual instruction for unusual attitude awareness ... never been brave enough to go out by-myself do do loops and such... Back in my flight instructor days, I would do spins, but that was the extent of it!

Hot Air Balloons are very popular near where I live, I'm constantly taking photo's of them, but you couldn't pay me a second G5 to ride in one... fear of heights would kick in!
