Anyway to bypass the "Preview wont work during DVD playback" deal?

NOT that I am illegally copying a screenshot off a copyrighted DVD or anything like that but I need to get a screenshot off a DVD, legally, on my iMac, but Preview wont operate under any circumstances unless the DVD playback is halted.
Any loopholes?
