Is there emulation software that would allow me to run old apps on a modern Mac, like the new Mini?

I ask because the iMac I use is way beyond being long-in-the-tooth. It’s ancient. But, the software I use (specifically the CS 5 versions of Illustrator and Photoshop) are stand-alone versions, and I really, really, really, really, don’t want to start paying a monthly tithe to Adobe at this late date.

What I have works for me just fine. At this point, I’m pretty much just a graphics hobbyist and not a working professional, so I honestly don’t need the latest, greatest SaaS versions of the Adobe products. But, my hardware is old and tired. Thus, this question.

A quick look says that CS5 is 32-Bit and won't run on Catalina or later. Parallels on Apple Silicon only runs on Monterrey or later so that looks a no-go.

I was going to suggest Virtualbox, but I can't seem to find enough info to say that you can run an old enough OS on a modern Mac.

You could dual boot using an external drive with a bootable Mojave OS, but that may be more trouble than it is worth.
