And that is why I ride my bike around town. And I can easily stop and talk to the ladies.

Sorry, White Bear Ave, N. Just south of the E. 3rd St. intersection in St. Paul.

Same stupid people, different trees.

I saw a car take out a pole that supported power lines. The car knocked out a big chunk of the pole. About 3 feet up to 8 feet up. The pole was still suspended by the strenght of the copper wires. I was shocked and awed.

If you're spinning off the road, heading for a tree next to a brick wall - try your best to hit the brick wall. You might live.

That's why racetracks are surrounded by concrete walls, and not trees.

By the looks of that pic it looks like the car was sitting partially in it's driveway when someone rammed into it at very high speed.

I don't think (and certainly HOPE) that NOBODY was in that car when that happened.

From the story in the startrib..

An argument involving two men and a woman ended when two cars crashed into different trees in St. Paul on Tuesday night, killing one man and injuring the others.

Witnesses told police that the cars were speeding south on White Bear Avenue N., weaving in and out of traffic before the crash, police spokesman Paul Schnell said.

The cars cruised at least a half-mile, blowing through a stoplight before they bumped, sending them out of control and into trees about 8 p.m. just south of the E. 3rd St. intersection, he said.
