Very interesting...

I just noticed that the LEDs on the battery blink when the PB is plugged and charging.

I never noticed that before as my PB is usually 'bottom down' when it is charging.

I noticed the green glow when I entered a darkened room and the unit was on its stand (elevated).

I guess you learn a new thing everyday.

Funny thing is I have owned 2 PB's in the last year and never noticed it.

blinking battery lights (plural) implies a bad/failing battery.

It is a normal behavior when the battery is charging. However, if PB is not connected to an AC adapter and battery lights blink several times when you press the battery button to check charge, the battery is dying.

I had this happen to me 3 months after buying an iBook. Apple replaced it no questions asked.
