Hi, I have Jaguar upgrade CD's that came with an iMac.... Can I use those with my iBook to upgrade it?

The Mac OS 10.2 upgrade CD's are all identical. Go ahead, use them!

I have a question relating to this...is there any way that Apple can tell if you install the same copy of 10.2 on two different computers? Not that I would do this...but I have always wondered this. They must take the SN # when you register it?...

as far as i know, there is no serial number for the copy of OSX you have on your computer. there is no upgrade serial number either.
