Hello.

Basically my predicament is this: I have a PowerPC G5 with a cable DSL connection and a PowerPC G3 I'm trying to connect with. I have a Linksys Wireless-G 2.4GHz Broadband router connected to the G5, where the main cable connection comes through, and a Belkin Wireless LAN ethernet adapter for the G3. I can start the connection between the two computers well enough, but once one of them is shut down the connection has to be reestablished on both ends upon next start up. What I'd really like is to have the connection between the two computers be permanent, is there any way I can do this?

Welcome to the MacNN Forums!

Please detail how you're setting up the connection. I'll bet you're setting up a "computer to computer network." BY DESIGN these are temporary, and must be reestablished every time they are needed. You should set up an "infrastructure" network for a permanent connection.
