One of my clients recently had this icon appear on several of their Mac workstations in their office. The Macs are all running Snow Leopard and logging into Open Directory and using 802.1X authentication, on a Snow Leopard Server machine. I'm somewhat new to Apple's server technology (~2 years experience) and have never seen this before.
Any idea what this icon is and why it might be appearing?
Thanks!

(tried to use forum's imbedded image function but it's not working for me)

No ideas on your question, but I edited your post to place the image inline.
Image attachment is disabled here except for staff. Probably done to limit DB load in the past.

Can you clarify where exactly this icon is appearing?

reader50: Thanks!
Art: It appears in the upper right of the users' desktops. My first thought was perhaps OS X Server's Home Sync technology, or something related to Open Directory, but I'm really not sure. I tried Googling for the image to maybe find out where it's from, but no luck. Searching these and other forums didn't produce anything either. Stumped!
Thanks for your help.

It isn't an Apple technology. Do a Get Info on the icon to see what it is. May be a volume or an application.
