What's up everyone?

I have a few questions regarding KVM switches....specifically which one I will need to run my PowerBook and a Desktop.

I have a Dell (yes, I know evil) desktop with P/S2 mouse/keyboard hooked up to a 17in Dell Flatpanel display.

I would like to hook my PowerBook up to the monitor, mouse/keyboard.

Here is my first question/delima: the desktop has P/S2 mouse/keyboard and the PB has USB....yes I know..not that big of a deal...
should I use the P/S2 mouse/keyboard and get a P/S2 to USB adaptor...or just get a better USB mouse/keyboard?????

also which KVM would you recommend....I am looking for something small/portable and not TOO expensive..

I was looking at the IO gear ones and think that the following would work....

http://www.iogear.com/products/product.php?Item=GCS632U

http://www.iogear.com/2004/main.php...&product_id=522

http://www.iogear.com/2004/main.php...&product_id=522 (i think this would be the best one)

any suggestions would be apreciated

Kris

Get a USB KVM switch - I use an omni pro 4 port - probably about $200. Slap a USB card in the Dell and you'll be good to go. I run two cables to each computer - a USB cable and the VGA cable. I run 2 Windows and 1 Mac with this solution.

I have the Iogear Miniview Extreme 4-port KVM to connect my powerbook, corecrib, and PCs together. I have a logitech wireless keyboard and mouse shared and it all works well. I believe this is also the one of the few kvms that translates the multimedia keys as well.
