I assume all is not well in Berkeley. Before I left home this morning, I noticed that the MBP had not reported results in several hours and could not get new work. Seems that uploads were working.

Now, IE at work gets an HTTP500 error when trying to get to the forums and even the main page craps out with a MySQL error.

Anyone have any sources of info?

the server page indicates that machines are not running, the boinc dat base is offline, so it may be some time before things get back to normal

Looks like the home page is available. It has the following:

April 3, 2008
Last night the BOINC database server crashed - it's recovering now and the project should be up shortly.

We all know what "shortly" means...

It wasn't too bad. I luckily chose that day to do a complete backup on my iMac with CCC and it took several hours to do the backup and reinstall. Just thought it was time to have a backup and test it.

In about 2 months I will be cutting back because we have no air conditioning in the house.

Still chugging away here, though the stats are a little off + the occasional difficulty uploading.

Does this message from Seti@home have any implications for our optimized applications?

Mostly working on programming today. Wrapping up work on the precess recalculator - will probably deploy next week. Astropulse and the ntpckr are both just around the corner as well. I know we've been saying that a while, but it's getting truer ever day. Lots of big things coming down the pike.

Astropulse looks like it will. Matt states is another App. Likely it is something else they will be analyzing and adding to SETI clients. The other, ntpckr, sounds like it is just a stats monitor of where the Dish is pointing in the sky, but I may be wrong on that.
