hi there.
i just saw something on ebay that seemed too good to be true, so i wanted to ask the experts what you think about this.
a seller is offering new unibody macbook pros *with adobe CS4 master collection installed* for $1969. the seller has an excellent feedback rating of 99.9%, and seems to sell plenty of macs. so, my question is, what's the catch? i emailed the guy and asked about product licenses, and he said that the software would not be licensed to me, but would still be fully functional. all of his other auctions also offer the CS4 package, so he is obviously installing this on multiple machines.
does that sound suspicious to you? if i bought one of these machines, could i get in trouble for using the software? i am intrigued, but wary. any advice on this would be appreciated.
the listing in question:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...:X:AAQ:US:1123
thanks.

It's pirated for sure, he's an established seller though.

If you look at any computer for sale, nearly everyone will state some sort of application for sale. If they don't include the disks, it means you don't get the license. So yes, it is too good to be true.
If you want to be 100% sure, just email the seller and ask him if this will also include the disks

Actually, getting just the disks is pretty much useless. What you really want is the original piece of paper that has the installation product key on it. If the seller purchased and downloaded the software online you'll need him to transfer the license to your name ( http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/view...nalId=tn_15281). You might want the license transferred in any case. Normally, this would be considered over-the-top, but CS4 is worth more than the laptop, in this case.
Anything less and you're getting a pirated copy.

True enough, I kind of implied that but it bears saying explicitly. Typically when you get the discs you get the installation product key, but in this day and age, you need to overtly state that
