Hi all,

Saw this drive on eBay, will it work in my 400mhz TiBook? I believe the drive that's in it now is a DVD-ROM (does that mean it won't even read CDs?). Here's the link...

Thanks,

I resurrected the combo drive three times in my ex-Ti-400 by opening it and playing around with the ribbon connection. It's still working for the guy I sold it to.

The drive in the 400 is a read only DVD/CDR. Th one in the 550 will also wride cds but not
DVDs. You need a superdrive for that
