Hello! This is my very first MacNN post, I've been lurking for some time - never really got around to registering, and my mate Chris (who some of you should know is the code-monkey-genius behind some Gadgets released at TheDashboarder.com (on a related note; I'm the Rick that has been designing and giving input on his Gadgets for and after Dropper 0.8)) said that I should really join and whore some of my work out to "get some public acknowledgement."

So I thought I'd really say hello with a preview of my very first ongoing iconset project.. Lutetium (Click for teaser image).

Lutetium Volume One will be out on the first of September, the SIRO and Silent (the Onyx variant is being dropped, because of my dislike for it..) variants following the month after - although I cannot guarantee that because recently I've been having a lot of pains similar to Carpel Tunnel Syndrome symptoms, so I'm going to be limiting computer time over the next week or so to see if that helps - rest assured Lu V1 will be released on the 1st, and will be available in compatible formats for Mac OS X (of course..), Winnie XP and Linnie.

Other Previews/Linkies;
The Lutetium page at my site.
The Optical-Disc teaser
The Extra-Folders teaser
The Trash teaser

Hope you like.. Feedback is always nice..! Hope to see you around MacNN in the future.

Edit: Eep, if I posted this in the wrong place, I do apologize - I presume(d) GUI Customization would cover Icons..?

But it's all ugly! Hehe, I'll have to see if there's enough demand for me spending another month working on a variant after the other two..

Thanks for nice comments!

The siro one looks nifty from what i can see. I haven't found a good siro like icon set and this would be great. Also the sizing on your finder icon where it gets smaller towards the bottom... well eh.... I recommend changing that to the normal finder icon perspective. But besides that it looks fantastic!

These folders look like they open opposite to normal - original, and it works OK.
BTW, nice webdesign.

That's the shading (and the mid-grey the scaled downs are on); it does make it look like that but in fact the Finder icon is almost 1:1, which I though would be want people wanted (and y'proved me right!).

So uuuh.. what's the story on the trash icon? It looks nice but it doesn't look too much like a trash can

Interesting-looking set.

I am quoting from the original post at aqua soft

The LuTrash has the remarkable next-gen A.I. that actually detects how many trashed files your computer contains. Once it reaches an unstable level it automatically informs you via it's front-born light, which can be altered to suit your mood.

Once the trash has been emptied, the bright front sided light dulls down back down to it's off state, ready for the next time you are required to permanently erase files.

i asked the same... hehehehe...

Sorry but what's the problem with a preview when I've stated the release date? I mean, honestly, can't you wait seven days?

@Everyone else; Thanks for the nice words!
