I'm looking for a good application to manage backing up all of my data. I've come across
Synk Backup and SuperDuper

What do you guys use? I'll be backing up to a large external disk. Ideally I'd like something that can do incremental backups and only backup the changed files. I believe both the above do that.

thanks
sheesh, that took 8 hours for me to be asked to change my sig...

I use SuperDuper. Nice easy app to use, and good support through the Shirt-Pocket site. Another (free) options is Carbon Copy Cloner

When Super Duper does a backup for a second time does it replace the changed files with new ones or does it keep both? I'd prefer if it kept both...

SuperDuper rocks my socks. I find it just indispensable.

There must be other decent backup software apps too. Anyone have any problems with Synk Backup or SuperDuper?

If your a .mac subscriber then you have apple's backup available. It can backup to the .mac account, an external drive, the dvd burner or even to a location on an internal drive.

The software also backups up incrementally too, though I have little experience in trying to restore from an incremental backup with the apple backup application.

.Mac backup has so many issues restoring and has major memory leak issues! UGH! I would suggest SynkBackuo. It has everything you want including the ability to retrive previous backups. I might get the Pro to back up all my computers to my iMac server once I figure what the best route to go.

I haven't had a problem with Backup. What restore problems are you referring to?

I'm a ChronoSync fan, more robust and flexible for network backups in my opinion.
