hi. has anyone heard/read anything about the mbp trackpad basically getting stuck as if it were being pressed? i just got a new, mid-2010 13" mbp a few months ago and it has started acting a bit wonky. every now and then the trackpad basically behaves as if it is pressed- scroll and everything is selected; have mouse over an image and it tries to drag it; etc.

anyway, it seriously sucks and the only thing that fixes it is a reboot.

anyone heard about anything like this? i have done several searches and found nothing. thanks.

This has happened to me twice in a few days on two different generations of 13" MBP purchased about 8 months apart. In one I kept single-clicking until it stopped. In the other I clicked a bit but otherwise tried waiting it out. Today I turned off click to drag on one and will see what happens.

yea, i seem to remember it happening on my last 13" mbp as well. not sure what made it go away though.

it seriously sucks when it happens. basically forces you to reboot, considering the mouse is totally messed up.

I suffer the same problem with my Magic Mouse, but I thought it was to do with the custom click application BetterTouchTool.
