Well, I am actually using Flip4Mac Player -- some windows media stream now play through the QT plug-in in Safari -- some of them I want to save, but I can't figure out where it's stored on the system.

What version of QuickTime do you have? In QT pro, which co$ts $$, v7.0.1, first choose QT preferences, not general preferences. Select Browser and check box labeled Save movies in disk cache. Adjust download cache size, max being 4000mb. Select Advanced and make sure box labeled Enable kiosk mode is unchecked.
If you don’t have QT pro v7.x, you may not have these options.
