Hi friends,
I'm looking for a program to convert DVDs to iPod in a fast and easy manner. Any recommendations?

I'll third the Handbrake suggestion.

I have been using it to encode MacTheRipper-ripped DVDs (taking up about 5 GB each) into nice 1 GB mp4 files. It has presets for iPod, iPhone, AppleTV, plus a handful of other preset parameters.

It has builds for WIndows, OS X, and Linux, so whatever your platform is, you should be good to go.

BTW, it was just updated to 0.9.1 a couple of weeks ago.

So far no "hey, this Windows program does that great..." posts. Yet. I think we're making progress. Handbrake is a great tool. MacTheRipper and Handbrake help you do a lot more than just play couch potato with your DVDs. Very nice stuff.

I've been using DVD-iPod-Video-Converter. You can get it here for only $39.95. Let me post a tutorial to show you how to use it...

I use Handbrake and have it use the chapter markers from the DVD and they work when put on the iPhone.
