Hi,

I've run into a bit of a problem. I have a 2yo 15" MBP that has become my secondary/travel computer that I would like to install Ubuntu on as second OS. However, superdrive is dead so I can't boot from CD to install. I have tried putting ubuntu.img on an external FW drive, but it just wouldn't restore the image to the ext. FW drive. Hence my question, how can I put Ubuntu image on a bootable ext. FW drive or USB stick to be able to install it.

Cheers.

Have you tried Command+Option+Shift+Delete? It should boot as far as I know.
