It was OK. The Rock was pretty good. Especially when he finds the BFG9000.
The part towards the end where the movie goes into the "first person" view was kinda corny.
The lamest part of the movie was where one of the dudes is playing a handheld game that looked a lot like a combination of a PSP and GameBoy, but from the 80's. Very cheesy for something from the "future".
Wait for the rental.

Personally I'm going one step further and am waiting for it to leave theatres so that maybe, just maybe my local theatre will replace it with a REAL movie, instead of just another poorly written, poorly acted, cheapshot-to-the-back-of-the-head hollywood monstrosity.

Now, I really dislike the idea of this movie too, but come on.... how are you "taking it one step further" by waiting for it to leave theatres? Isn't that the same as renting it?
And, how do you know it's poorly written/acted if you haven't seen it?
