I have said more than once here that the individual soldiers involved in these things, and even their immediate commanders, were not the cause of the problems, but rather the "leadership" involved (actually LACK of leadership) in even suggesting those questioning techniques. Rummy was as bad as anyone at talking about stuff, and worse because he was in charge (and supposedly a lot smarter than to "mention" things that he knew his subordinates would run with).
