Hi

I tried a google and forum search on this and got nowhere?.

If i use the google 'bar' within Safari for a search it automatically opens in the active window, is there anyway to make this search open in a new tab or window, instead of the one i am working in.

Thanks for your help

I don't think so, but you could always hit the "new tab" button before you do such a search.... (that's what I do in OmniWeb)

Use command+enter (/return, whatever) in Google-field for opening search results in new tab.

You can use iSeek to do that. You just set in preferences that links from outside applications open in new tabs.

iSeek just looks so out of place in the menubar. It looks like it's overflowing.

What he said. --^ After you've typed the search string, hit Command + Return instead of just Return in order for it to open in a new tab. This also works in the Address field, and when clicking on a bookmark in the bookmarks bar (Command + Click).

Just wanted to add, command + shift + return opens a new tab and brings it to the front.
