Earlier today, DevonTechnologies updated all editions of its Internet search and research tool DevonAgent as well as the context-aware search assistant DevonSphere Express bringing OS X El Capitan compatibility. In addition to other fixes and changes, DevonAgent Pro 3.9.2 now uses the title of PDFs displayed in the built-in web browser and will capture and send non-HTML documents to DevonThink.
The Twitter, Thumbnail Gallery, Audio, and Video scanners as well as the Marketing and New Software search sets have been updated as well. New Scanners filter search results by looking for Twitter accounts or image galleries, and return matching objects. Search sets now query multiple search engines and web sites simultaneously. Also, DevonAgent Pro and Express 3.9.2 better filter advertising and links to social bookmarking.
All editions of DevonAgent as well as DevonSphere require OS X 10.7.5 or later as a
standalone download, and 10.8.3 or later if purchased in the Mac App Store. DevonAgent Pro retails for $50, DevonAgent Express sells for $5, and DevonAgent Lite is still free. DevonSphere Express sells for $10.
