Hey mac peeps ... I'm new to parallels and I really want to install it on my blackbook... so I present the questions:
1) Can I use my bluetooth mouse in Parallels Winblows XP?
2) Do I need to remap my keyboard so I can use the CTRL key, ALT key, DEL key, etc, etc....
Thanks!
EDIT: The keyboard is really important for me... we are talking about windows here, so I imagine I'll be plenty of program-killing . While OS X will be my primary OS I'd rather pay $71 (Amazon.com w/ FREE super saver shipping) than replace all my windows apps.

1. My MS Bluetooth mouse works fine, Parallels just sees it as a mouse.
2. Ctr Alt Del works fine with the Apple keyboard

Okay, so did you do this on a MacBook or regular apple keyboard?

Well you still have to buy a legit copt of windows xp to go along with the $71.00 copy of parallels that you bought. Unless you already have a liscensed copy of pro or home containing sp2.

Dillon, you are about one millionth of an inch from being banned-we DO NOT SUPPORT, ENCOURAGE, OR ABIDE PIRACY IN ANY FORM.
dmpdx, it's ludicrously simple to create a LEGAL installable XP disc WITH SP2-see the thread on "slipstreaming" tacked at the top of this forum. That means ANY XP disc, along with the freely downloadable SP2 upgrade (a big download, but as I said, free) can be made to work with Parallels, Boot Camp, or any other system that lets you run XP.

all right, aside from actually aquiring Windows, one question still remains: will I need to remap keys on my macbook to do things like "Ctrl-Alt-Del" and others?

Dillon-K: I have Windows XP installed via Parallels on my MacBook and the only thing you have to do to use functions like ctrl-alt-del is hold down the "fn" key as well. So in this case it will be fn-ctrl-alt-del and it works just fine for me.
About the mouse, I have a Logitech V270 Bluetooth mouse and it works great as well.

The ctrl-c, ctrl-v, et cetra work fine without holding down the fn key. You just have to use the fn key when you need a function with the delete key.

sweet. I'm glad parallels sets all that up for you... I'd heard of some people going to all kinds of measures to get their boot camp set up like they wanted lol.

What about function keys F1-F12 in Windows. I have tried various combinations but they don't seem to work as they do in Windows.
