700mhz 14" 16 vram.

i have a couple of questions about this-

can i badger apple into fixing this?

if i can't, is there any reason i can't open it up, remove the drive and install it in my pismo? from what i can tell on lowendmac they both have Ultra ATA-66 drives (and controllers). what makes this even more fun is that one of the last times it was in the techs at apple stripped one of the hex bolts on the bottom of the case.

well, maybe i have three questions- would you recommend selling this as a dead unit or parting it out and selling it on ebay?

thanks.

You could have insisted the Apple replace it. Most states have "Lemon Laws" whereby if something can't be fixed 100% in 3 solid attemps, they MUST replace it with a new one!

but too late for that now
Personally I find it hilarious that you have the hots for my gramma. Especially seeins how she is 3x your age, and makes your Brittney-Spears-wannabe 30-something wife look like a rag doll who went thru WWIII with a burning stick of dynamite up her a** :)

And I'm sitting here thinking...that only took you 45 minutes? I've heard Pismos are easy to work on, but you had to take the ibook apart first. What, with a hacksaw?
