What "format" of racing would a car such as this race in?
The reason I ask is because I need to paint a blank body that model RC car and I'd like to do a little internet research for ideas on paint schemes.
Thanks!

looks kinda like a bastardized LMP car or one of those rolex sports cars.
google up "bentley speed 8" or "porsche 917" for some of the classic LMP cars with closed cockpits. nissan had one too.
here's a mazda 787 RC car-
you can never go wrong with the gulf livery-
on the whole GIS "lemans livery" and see what you come up with. the martini livery is pretty awesome as well.
i kinda got into this post, i edited it like 4 times. :o

Definitely some form of GT racing.
I don't think it'd be all that sweet at the LeMans, since getting in and out of the car quickly (a requirement for this race) doesn't look too easy.
Looks like GTP more than anything else.

I really like those type of RC cars. My dream paint job has always been a fading color scheme from purple to dark blue from front to rear. I saw this color scheme on an insane speed run car a few years back.

for 2010 the ACO (lemans organizers) has mandated closed cockpits and air-conditioning in all cars.

I think Doofy was just saying that this particular car seems to have awful ingress/egress qualities, even as compared to a Bentley Speed8 or a Mazda 787.
slightly off topic but my best lap times in Gran Turismo 4 at the 'ring are in a 787 and a Sauber Merc C-9. 5:20 or so.
edit: maybe doofy wasn't saying that, but I am.

yeah that rc car must be like 15 feet wide if a normal sized person is going to fit in that cockpit.

Thanks for the input guys.
When I was sitting staring at the blank body, my little boy walked up. He saw my podering look and said: "Whas wrong da-da?" I told him I didn't know how to paint the car and asked him what did he think it should look like. Like any two year old today, he looked at me VERY seriously and said: "Da King da-da." Then he turned around, and ran down the hall. Moments later I heard his sister screaming.
So now, my task is to try to make that car body look like The King from the Pixar movie Cars.
