Every time I try to start Columns is pages (version 3.0.3), it doesn't only start columns where I want them, I starts them EVERYWHERE in the document.

Has anyone had this problem?
Any suggestions about how to get around it.:confused

This has happened to me ever since I started using Pages. For some reason Apple doesn't think you'd want columns on just half of the page. It will set the columns for the entire section of the document, so you'd have to divide it into several parts. Insert > Section Brake.

That seems to do the trick,

The problem with Insert>Section Break

Either put the text on multiple text box to simulate columns, or put the text inside a text box an apply columns to in.

I have used a textbox. Is this resolved in iWork 09?

You need to insert a Layout Break after the columns not a Section Break since obviously is the the layout you want to break from. It does not push anything onto the next page. This works in iWork 08 (or any version of Pages probably) so there is nothing to fix. No need to work with text boxes either.
