Does anyone know a good way to remove the speaker/fan assembly from the powermac g5, the one right below the optical drive? Mine does not want to move easily. Also, I cannot get at the cables to disconnect it from the motherboard. Anyone have any tips?

There are two screws holding in the plastic piece that helps to keep long cards in place. You have to remove this plastic piece to be able to easily get to the plugs. Once it's unplugged, there are no screws holding it in place. Sometimes it is a little difficult to get out, but it does just slide straight out.
