You do realize that the new models get 12 hours of battery life, right? How much do you need?

yup, new ones have 12 hours.

i unplugged my ipod from charging before i left for the airport. i flew from florida to new york, had a short stop over, and then flew from new york to london. the ipod battery died sometime the next day. this was my 8 hour 3rd generation ipod.

12 hour one on the same test died about 2 days after i arrived in london.

both batteries are substantial.

You can't be bothered to check the iPod's specs, can't be arsed to look at the alternatives, are too lazy to look and see whether your question has been asked before ... and yet people still offer you help.
