Hello! I am 14 years old and my parents just got me a 17" PowerBook for my birthday. I wanted a PC laptop with a 2.0 GHz Celeron, but I guess this slow 1 GHz thing will do. When I turned it on, I found out that it is running OS X? I wanted my Windows Me like on my desktop. Can you guys please help me get Windows on this mediocre laptop?

if you look at his birthdate..: february 1980..
now look at his post: "I am 14 years old"
Now you do the math...
And you conclude..

you know jodran, i was in the same situation. well...kind of. except i wanted that hot-ass 1988 Ford Escort...but not the regular Escort...i mean the GT with the asphalt-tearing 117BHP. when i woke up the morning of MY birthday, i found that my parents gave me the crappy Aston Martin DB-7 Vantage Volante (you know, the one with the convertible top) instead. i was like...WTF?? anyway, i decided to give it a shot, 'cuase it was in our driveway already anyway. So slipped into the oh so supple, contoured and comfortable sport seats of the Vantage Volante. The first thing i said was "what's up with this hand stitched nappa leather and solid walnut trim polished to an unbelievably lusterous shine...i would like this car better if it came with the faded, rotting, mildew smelling cloth seats of the Escort." anyway, so i put the keys into the ignition and cranked it. The sound of the 5.9 litre 420BHP V-12 rumbled out of the twin chrome exhaust tips. i know for a fact that that the Vantage would have been MILES faster with the whiney, raspy, anemic 4-banger that the Escort had under it's hood. So can you guys and gals please help me yank the torquey, responsive and smooth-as-butta V-12 from the Volante and rip-tie the Escort GT lawnmower engine in? and i guess while we're at it, replace the sensuous, luxurious and gorgeous interior with the plastic, tacky and beat up interior of from the Escort?

These negative comments aren't aimed at young people. Not by any means. The person who started this thread is obviously NOT 14 years old. He is what is known as a troll.

Good work with the 12". Its a great laptop and it's great to see you paid for most of it yourself and are still gracious for your parents helping you out. I know I wasn't working at that age, not enough at least to be buying a laptop Congratulations!

I just wanted some help. I guess Mac users really are jerks. I thought it was just a stereotype.

Remember the 80's Escort EXP, the one with the 2 seats, that Ford reincarnated from the Ford EXP/Mercury LN7? They should have left it dead, which pretty much sums up this thread too.
