Hello All

I recently purchased a D-Link WBR 2310 router that I wish to use as a repeater for my existing network. I thought I understood what I needed to do to make it work that way but please let me know if I'm wrong.

SAME name and channel as my existing netgear router. Then I need to set the MAC address to the same address as the router as well right? There must be seom othe settings but after 3 hours of trial and error I get.. well jsut more frustrated.

I did all that stuff and no love, of course the Web-based set-up is pretty confusing to me and I'm not sure what I'm really doing.

Is there a good guid to set up a repeater that isn't brand specific out there?

or anyone that has done this with this certain model

The mac address should be different than the router, basically you get the extender to see the router, (get a signal) you should namete extender something other than what the router is named. then you connect to whatever has a better signal, the router or the exteder.
