I'll preface this thread with: those interested in buying this probably know all about it. Those that don't, look up this model and learn about it before scoffing at its sale or price! Thank you
I have the following up for sale:
Apple Powerbook 2400c with:
- 80MB RAM
- 1.3GB Hard Drive
- 180MHz PowerPC (standard)
- Original Apple A/C Adapter
- Great screen with no dead pixels
It has 2 batteries: one original that holds a 30 min. - 1 hour charge
and one newer one that holds 1-3 hour charge!
The unit also includes an external Apple caddy 2X SCSI CD-ROM with the
correct SCSI cables. It's a big beast that weighs much more than the
laptop, but it gets the job done and reads CD-Rs, plus is bootable.
The negatives:
- no external floppy (is this REALLY a negative these days??)
- very very minor scratches on the case from normal wear and everyday
use. Actually, I'd say better than normal wear for a 9 year old
machine.
- The catch hook for when you shut the lid to the base is somehow
broken off. The hinges are very tight and the lid stays shut without
it. The only problem this causes is you have to manually "sleep" the
machine in the Special menu. Once again, some of you may even prefer
this as it's easier to open and close.
- No box, no manuals, no software CDs.
Price: around $180 shipped, but I'm open to any and all offers, so please get in touch!
