Just out of curiosity, what 2008 features are you waiting for in anticipation?

Reading and writing Word 2007 is the one and only feature I want from it.

Primarily I (in emphasis caps) want a smoother, faster, better user expierience. Even on my 2.0, C2D, 2 GB machine, it's painfully slow from a cold start, etc. A universal app will be nice.

Peter, one feature I am looking for in the new version of Excel is more rows. Currently this is fixed at 65,000 or so. I know the Windows version is about a million or something (or whatever 2^x is close to one million). Can you tell me the limit on the new Mac version.

I have a more general enquiry. I use Word daily, and I am a heavy user of its automatic numbering, cross-referencing, TOC generation etc. I also use Word macros. Apart from the Open Source versions of Word (which are cheaper but uglier versions of the real thing) are there any real alternatives on the Mac that have the same features as MS Word. I haven't seen one. Thoughts please.

What probably happened is, since Vista has tanked Bill has taken all his Mac programmers and told them to "Make it work like the OS X"

And for you that don't get that, I am sorry.
