Threads about murder. Threads about suicides. Threads about idiot people espousing idiot beliefs in idiotic ways. ARRRGGHHHH! I HATE being bummed!

So I want to laugh. Really laugh outloud. I need some suggestions. What makes you laugh?

When I was really sad during my parents divorce.. Kramer from Seinfeld made me laugh.. and for just that little bit of time things were okay.

Go lean back in a Lazy Boy and watch Kramer work his magic.

Thanks for Calvin and Hobbes, isao bered. "So it's cool to run into things?" "You don't move around, you just sort of hang out." Priceless! Better now.

Any more?

Getting right out of my zone and finding something interesting helps me. I once visited an aunt who's 60, she's flakey but not in a bad way. We just watched some television and talked about everything. I guess it was distraction of catching up with her and getting to know her as an adult that let us enjoy some comedies together and reconnect.

Better than sitting at home and doing nothing

Scott, thanks EVER so much! Cross a bull dog with a shitzu and get... Thanks!

Yesterday was not great for me. I had a hard drive on order and it came in-but it wasn't what I thought I'd ordered. A huge drive? Yes, but an SATA drive instead of an ATA-100 drive (which is what will fit in the box I need it for). So I had to RMA the drive. Then I had to run errands in a couple of crowded and overstressed places (stress and my mood do NOT get along, and I absorb stress from the environment like sugar soaks up water). Add in a couple of "issues" with my son-he's 18 so I figured he'd understand "no" to a soda on the way to the supermarket checkout, bud did he? NO!

Anyway, I came to the forums and managed to inflict some pretty rough threads on myself and so I got myself even "downer" than I'd already been. Thanks to isao bered, a pretty good night's sleep and Scott's link, along with everyone else's support, I'm doing much better now. (At least I have learned how to see dperession coming and when to take action against it... Better'n drugs for fighting depression!)

Go to a video store and rent "Rex the Runt". Well, if you like clay animation and somewhat-surreal British humor. Same studio as Wallace & Gromit, but far more bizarre, with really cute and grumpy plasticine dogs..

When I need a laugh, I put on "Little Britain" It's a UK comedy sketch show, and is too funny. If you can get the chance to see it, definitely do, but it can be quite an acquired taste.

Hi WDLove and ghporter...don't be sad...be happy.

Rent the movie Multiplicity with Michael Keaton or Groundhog Day with Bill Murray...or BOTH.

"I like pizza" is one of the funniest lines in Multiplicity. I can't stop laughing at Michael Keaton's retarded version of a clone.

And Groundhog Day is just as funny...
