I was recently searching for the lyrics to a song on Google, and clicking on one of the results took me to a page warning that the site was suspected of carrying software that could harm my computer. The warning page has the result page's address for you to copy and paste, but it doesn't even have a link. Very interesting to see Google taking a strong stance on it. Hopefully this will encourage people to make sure they don't allow malware on their sites.

According to AppleInsider, Safari in Leopard may have a feature where it can automatically check pages you visit against Google's database to protect users from malware, phishing sites, etc.

Ticking sound coming from a .pkg package? Don't let the .bom go off! Inspect it first with Pacifist. Macworld - five mice!
