I’m looking at replacing my venerable iPad Air 2 with a current model iPad Air. I’ve become quite used to keyboard cases for my iPad. I have seen the current Apple Smart Keyboard, and I’m impressed. But I’m interested in more than just a keyboard and something to cover the screen...
What sort of keyboard and/or case are folks using with their third generation iPad Airs? What do you like about them? What do you wish was better about them?

Lacking input, I bought the Zagg Rugged Messenger Case with keyboard. The case part protects the back of the iPad, while the keyboard folds over the front and protects it. It looks like a winner to me.

The switch from 2nd gen to 3rd gen is totally worth it – I did it about 6 months ago and I’ve never looked back. But, in regards to cases/keyboards, I’ve been looking at the same thing, and didn’t want to repost the question if someone else did. Thanks for posting this – I’m following the thread as well so that I can see what other people are doing for their 3rd gen iPad Air.

I tried a bluetooth keyboard for my ipad air a while back and hated the keyboard lag. Of course, that was an OG ipad air and a crappy cheap keyboard.

I've never seen a case with its own keyboard. Can you post a pic?

Here’s what I got: the Zagg Rugged Messenger.
The iPad goes in a removable case, and the keyboard folds around it. It’s held on magnetically, and the back of the keyboard/folio acts as a stand - also attached magnetically. I’m digging this setup.
My previous keyboard/case combos have been hinged, limiting the angle you could have the screen at. With this one, I can take the device off of the keyboard and use it as a simple tablet, or set it up almost like a laptop.
