Not safe for work image removed. Did you actually LOOK at EVERY frame in this animation? Way too graphic.

I like to put the suger-and milkpowdersticks back in their box when they are empty. How do you rebel against your office culture?

IMO The naked cartoon workers were fine, but the two cartoon characters 'at it' in the background of one shot was a little bit too much for viewing at work.

seriously, what is wrong with people's "work" where it is safe to view the macnn lounge, but "not safe' to view a funny series of a cartoon?

It's a cartoon. Drawn like an airline emergency guide. About officeworkers who suddenly rebel against the supressing and unnatural office culture. I think it's very funny and the sporadic nudity is meant to be funny , not arousing, as it's not sexually explicit at all. And the plants in the loo's are a brilliant idea !!!!

Maybe you should view it again. If it was just someone sitting at their desk naked it would have been too much, but your "funny" slideshow had people naked having sex in it in multiple slides. Yeah, you crossed the line there. Dilbert draws naked people the way that is safe for work... here, take a lesson:

drop me a PM if you want to see what's so offending, crossing the line, and cannot possibly ever be shown on a forum for grown ups like MacNN.

Oh, and please put replies to this thread, as I am really curious who is easely insulted and why.

I'm not easily insulted, but not being able to see what the fuss is about, it's hard to comment on what the fuss is about.

I'm not sure what your comment means... if you don't look at pornography you will never score? What a weird thought process you have.

Anyway, I was saying that it was not appropriate for a forum visited by by anyone, and that is frequently visited by people at work.

PS, I'm married so I "score" plenty, thanks.

The deleted image included a number of frames that featured nudity beyond what our terms of service allow. It also featured apparent copulation between the aforementioned nude people. Is it too much to ask people NOT TO POST PICTURES OF PEOPLE HAVING SEX?

Heaven forbid you clutter your collection of cookies with the other, overwhelmingly numerous sites offering pictures of the most natural act in existence. This is MacNewsNetwork, not Mac Nudity Network. I can see it now, it wouldn't be long before the host of sexually-repressed miscreants here overtook the place.

They have! Haven't you *seen* the right-wing circle jerk the Political Lounge turned into over the past few years?

Just like most of the right. The only people still left in there are more than likely the zealots.

Why is it that in this society people having bloody fist fights and other acts of violence is alright, but a naked body isn't?

Just wait until PB2K posts a link to the original comic at the center of this. Everything will make sense then...

You're right, no has.

But somehow I doubt this would get censored.

I suppose one would need an expendable account to post "the ultimate orgy" flashvideo

Not by me. We don't have a rule against images of comic book violence. We DO have a rule against depictions of nudity-and we had people complaining about ART WORKS that displayed female nudity, so this argument goes both ways. Further, the "cartoon" depictions were done in a very much different style from the above posted comic art. They appeared to be either tracings or art intended to look like tracings-much closer to reality than the obvious comic book treatment of the cave men fighting (or whatever it is supposed to be).

I am not being a prude, but we do have to maintain a level of civility in our forums, and that includes remaining in the clear when Mrs. Prigg sees her little precious Johnny surfing-would you like to be responsible for MacNN being sued for "posting pornography?" I'm trying to not let that happen.

That would be pretty clever. But it would only last for a short time until that video was deleted and the disposable account banned into nonexistence.

This is not some bathroom wall where small minded kids post dirty jokes and badly drawn cartoons of sex acts you know, and some of us want to keep it that way. We'd also like to keep the whole MacNN thing going, instead of having it sued into oblivion because too many idiots posted material that got the whole site in trouble.

It's your site, do whatever you like.

I just don't understand why there are such vague standards. There are plenty of cameltoes on this site. Plenty of sexy underwear pictures. Ghporter I understand your role as a moderator, but most of all I don't understand the people who ARE offended by the cartoon.

a discussion about our standards could probably be better held in a separate thread.
