My PB G4 mothernoard fried and that fried the hard drive. Apple will repair the box at a fair price, but Apple will delete the data.

The dirve spins, seems fine and TexhTools Pro said the drive was fine just before the mobo quit. There is no indication of physical damage to the HD. Data Rescue II cannot "see" the drive's data so I need to go up a level in recovery choices, but costs of many services are huge, into the thousands of USD.

Does anyone have suggestions as to more reasonably priced data recovery? I want to recover what I can prior to shipping the box to Apple.

TIA

-Allen Wicks
