I have determined that the best way to transfer my songs from my Powermac to powerbook is the 800 firewire target mode. (if this isnt the best way please let me know) My question is: Where is the best place to drag the Mp3's, so they show up in my library. When I have done this in the past they do not show up in my library till i manually play each one --?? Also - can anyone suggest a good way to make sure that both music library's are synched? ie have all of the same songs?

You can use Applescript folder actions to automatically add any songs you drop into a certain folder to your iTunes library.

You can find them on Apple's website - search for iTunes Applescripts.

Also, to add them manually, you don't have to play each one.

Just drag the whole folder to the iTunes window.
