I ordered a SATA western digital caviar 320gb HD and when I start the machine up it states the the drive is "not supported". Any input on what to do next (hopefully not send it back) would be great. I have checked the cables etc and all seems to be set up correctly. It also shows up in my disk utilty app. as SMART status "verfied" etc. HELP!@

Do you mean, when you boot up, you get a message popup saying you have an unsupported drive? If so, all that means is the drive isn't formatted yet. Open Disk Utility and format it as desired.

Now, if you get that message when Disk Utility tries to format the drive, then I'd be concerned.
