They mention USB 2.0, but do you need it to sync to your computer or can you have a regular USB port?

It'll transfer through USB 1.1, but I *highly* doubt it'll charge it.

I read on the Apple support site that charging over USB 1.1 does work, just that it takes a bit longer than with 2.0.

Only if it is plugged right into the computer though, stick it on the keyboard and you are screwed.
