Following up on our previous story, the new Beats Pill+ Bluetooth speaker is now available for ordering. The device has changed little from before Apple bought the company, but gains a Lightning port for charging as well as an included cable. The $229 speaker can be paired with another to produce a stereo sound, and will soon have an accompanying app that allows a users and friends to control the music in a "house party" style. The unit still features a USB power-out port, a line-in audio port, and a battery boasting up to 12 hours of active use.

In addition, Apple has launched some new colors for the Solo2 headphones. Dubbed the "Luxe Edition," the new options include blue, silver, black, and read. Nothing else has been changed in the $200 headphones apart from the additional color options. Both the updated Solo2 and the Pill+ will begin shipping Tuesday.

Report: first Singapore Apple Store coming next year

The Knightsbridge upscale retail center on Orchard Road in Singapore will be the site of the city-state's first official Apple Store, according to a local newspaper. The store, which will not open until sometime next year, will require some of the existing tenants of the Knightsbridge center to give back space to the management of the complex in order to meet Apple's requirements, according to the report. The store will occupy the space formerly used for a fitness center, and expand beyond that.

Despite its small size, the wealthy nation has been lucrative enough for Apple that it is often included in the first wave of product launches. Apple has been said to have been looking to open a Singapore store long before now as well, but real estate availability and price on the island country make it difficult to create new, large-scale retail spaces. The proposed store was discovered through emails sent out by the fitness center to its customers, letting them know about the closure.
