The LED on my Caps Lock key has gotten very dim - it's near impossible to tell if it's lit or not unless i'm looking directly over it. Is there any way to fix this?
BTW -it does this with both USB ports and it was working fine months ago

Is it from the led itself getting dim... or from gunk of some sort getting into the caps lock key, masking the light ?

I removed the caps lock key and the LED is still dim without it on there

As a workaround solution you could use Jeremy's Cap's Lock Control Strip Module. Not only does it visually show the condition but can have different beeps assigned to caps lock down and up. I like it for that feature since I frequntly hit the key by mistake! http://www.kezer.net/csm.html

I had a mate who tried to connect an Apple USB keyboard to his PC laptop and he also experienced the caps lock LED to be very very dim. It turns out that his laptop couldn't supply enough power to the keyboard - so maybe it is a power issue?

It's not a power issue because ihave a friend with a G4 and that keyboards worked fine, and the LEDs on my USB hub work fine, and I connect the keyboard directly to the USB port on my computer
