Hi,

i am new to mac and i was trying to download skype for the voice chat from the apple website....there are tow files one is the skype icon and the skype_1.4.0.35.dmg file...i am trying to open the application but i am not sure what needs to be done..

Can any one pls help me out....

I am able to mount the dmg file and run the aplication.

Make sure you copy the application from the disk imagine into your Application's folder, gotchamac. From there you can add it to the Dock etc.

This is the normal method for installing apps on the Mac, quick and easy once you get used to it.

The disk image can be thrown away after you have copied the app.
